It's interesting that so few companies make the connection between cartoons and business. Are they afraid of not being taken seriously? Are cartoons just funny little drawings that no one really pays attention to? Publications like the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Forbes and Harvard Business Review all publish business cartoons regularly. What’s going on here?!

These are some recent photos of caricatures drawn at events. Each of these sketches takes about 3 minutes per person, including body. It is not easy to get photos of these as the line is usually backed up, and there is no time between guests to take out a camera and take photos, but on the rare occasion that there is a short break in the line or I have an assistant,...aand I have my camera, there are shots like these to post. I haven't been real organized so I'm not sure which photos are from which events, or even what month some of them were taken, but here are some samples of my live work. Also, if you've been drawn by me at an event and you'd like to be featured on this page, please send a photo of your caricature (preferably with you next to it) to the e-mail above. It's always fun to see my work after an event because it gives me an oportunity to critique my work. Usually I only see each piece for a few minutes, and then it's gone forever. I really enjoy drawing these, and people seem to enjoy having it done. Sometimes I can't believe I get paid to do this.

I drew this caricature at a recent party and the theme these students requested was so creative and original that I had to post it. They wanted to be drawn as a trio, giving the guy a dinosaur body with the girls riding him. I'm not really sure what the joke is behind it but I'm sure it's an interesting story. Made for a fun sketch, anyway.
